Nury Yoo, Chair of KamberLaw’s Consumer Products and Regulatory Compliance Practice, partners with clients in the food and beverage, cosmetic and personal care, pet food, dietary supplement, OTC drug, medical device, restaurant, alcohol beverage, and consumer product industries to navigate complex and evolving regulations, anticipate and manage risk, and defend against challenges.
Nury draws on her deep experience to counsel clients to strategically navigate federal, state, and local regulatory compliance; enforcement actions, warning letters, inspections, and import detentions; labeling; evaluation of claims and substantiation; marketing, advertising, and social media; product development, GRAS, NDIN, novel ingredients, and FSMA; food and product safety; product recalls and market withdrawals; supply chain management and strategic reviews of contractual provisions on risk allocation, indemnification, delegation, and recalls; due diligence reviews for private investment; consumer and competitor challenges; and the expanding body of state and local regulations and laws, such as California’s Prop. 65, SB 343, SB 54, Prop. 12, and various states’ Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws.
Nury represents clients in areas regulated by the FDA, USDA, FTC, TTB, and state regulatory agencies such as OEHHA, CalRecycle, CDFA, and CDPH. She is also experienced in the consumer product arena before the CPSC and advertising challenges before the NAD.
